Cash Flow

Cash flow refers to movement of cash into or out of a business. It is usually defined over a period of time like a financial year, a quarter etc. Example: Cash in (£1000) minus cash out (£600) = a positive cash flow (£400). Measurement of cash flow is useful in determining a project's rate of return value, liquidity or to evaluate risk within a financial product etc.
