What a disgusting site this is! stay well clear under all circumstances they don't give a damn about the customer if they through no fault of their own come into financial difficulty such as a job loss.

I have dealt with mini credit for a while now. I have suffered at the hands of their "customer" service and found them to be argumentative, rude, and misleading. They are also trying to take funds from my account daily without my permission citing the use of a "rolling" direct debit agreement which I signed in my contract. Something I found out is that the OFT has warned other Payday lenders against the practice of taking monies from a debtors account without agreeing the amount and the date of the withdrawal with the debtor first with the penalty to the lender of a fine of £50,000 per offence or revoking their credit license (see link http://www.debtmanagementtoday.co.uk/newsstory?id=1016&title=oft_takes_a...

OR THIS ONE

http://www.oft.gov.uk/news-and-updates/press/2010/142-10).

Also, they have been charging me 1% of the capitol per day that I owe them of the original debt, and even though I have paid a quarter of the original debt back, they havent reduced the interest on the daily rate, and they have added 3 x £100 fees for "debt collecting". Again, the OFT has warned companies that debt collection fees should not be disproportionate to the original loan. I have received threatening letters stating they will send "doorstep collectors" to recover monies "how they see fit". WHAT A JOKE! any doorstep collector should request an appointment to visit your home, and can only 1. request payment, 2. offer you payment terms, 3. explain what could happen if payment is not met. THAT IS IT! then they have to leave your premises. Also Mini credit will not entertain any repayment options or plans. They state that you can make a payment of £1 every 30 days in order to prevent the matter from escalating, however the daily interest charges (in my case £4 plus a 100 pound fee for "debt collecting" will add up over three months increasing the original debt to 4 or 5 times what you borrowed. This is not acceptable if you have spoken to them, explained you are struggling, and are trying to make good the payments on money you are owed.

AVOID like the plague!!! They overcharge, don't reply to any correspondence apart form
automised e-mails occasionally which don't address queries, won't admit to any mistakes, and, worse of all to me ARE UNBELIEVABLY RUDE!!!! WE ARE CUSTOMERS FOR GODS SAKE. POLITENESS COSTS NOTHING. They talk over you on the phone and even hang up. I have read other reviews on a forum. They point out the rudeness of a woman called **** who answers the phone. I experienced the same thing. INCREDIBLY RUDE and hung up on me twice. I am taking matters to financial ombudsman. Have tried my best to overcome the difficulty without doing so, but have been left with no choice.

They do credit check you so beware. I also had loan with them which they were allowing me to rollover however decided to repay in full then went back to take same amount again and was refused every time they refuse you they charge you still for card fee. Tried again for different amount smaller again refused eventually phoned them and amount they were offering even though had repaid in full lots of times was only £100 down from £500. Would have been better keeping the loan rolling over in case I needed funds that month. This is a sham site beware!

i applied for a loan with mini credit. They charged my £5 for apply then knocked me back, so I thought I will try a lower amount same thing happened. Finally applied for the lowest amount possible £100 they charged me another £5 and knocked me back. In total cost me £15, think I got off lightly, would touch them and wouldn't advise anyone else too either.

I repaid my loan to minicredit today, and then realised I wouldn’t have enough to last the month so phoned and asked them if I could roll it over instead and they said no I couldn’t have my money back.
I am now not going to have any money for Christmas.

I am in the same boat and am in financial difficulties and cannot afford to pay the payday loan off in one month. I am on a debt management plan and they said they will not deal with them. I keep on getting phone calls from them and am at the end of my tether because I don’t know what to do next.
Does anybody know what the next stage will be is this just threatening behaviour or do they take the matter further?

Appalling customer service. They hung up on me. I was told that the details didn't match those that I had given to Visa Card Secure. What a lot of rubbish. Now I failed their checks I can never apply for a loan with them again.

This lender was fine until i fell into financial difficulty and couldnt afford to pay. they use threatening behaviour to scare you into paying the full amount - telling you they will contact your employer and disclose all your personal information (which is actually illegal under data protection and OFT guidelines). I have demanded they take me to court for the money. Trust me, steer clear from these or read the terms carefully before borrowing. they are nasty, nasty people and will not listen to your circumstances if you fall behind. i would suggest another lender such as provident, for short term loans

Yeah, watch out ... was all approved and then declined at last minute through credit check! Not as simple as it says on the website unfortunately, however very polite and easy to get hold of
